Avalable mid/highend hd4xxx series on Newegg

I just took a look for a 4xxx series card on New egg.
They have...

4, 4770's
4, 4850's
only 1 4870!
And 10, 4890's and 9 are ~ $200+.

Is this the end of the 4 series?

Looked to me like the sweet spot for 48xx deals was a couple of months before the release of the 58xx line instead of sometime after. I think a lot of places pushed out their soon to be old stock right then. I know I picked up a great cheap 4870 1GB then @ $120.

And the early adopters, after the 5870/50s, finally ended up getting a good deal by being first!

Maybe the low availability of the new ATI line, combined with the blowout of earlier models has ended up leaving low supply all around?
