I am buying a i815 Motherboard and am wondering where I can buy a CNR NIC. Or do CNR/AMR cards just plain suck? I would not mind making use of the slots so I can free up PCI slots for more important cards.

I've heard very little about them, but what I have heard didn't sound too encouraging. Aren't they supposed to be a lot slower than a plain ol' PCI NIC?

not exactly slower, but suckier...

it's better to have a PCI card.

stupid CNR and AMR are a waste of space.

oh wait, they'd be great for system integrators. MUCH cheaper.
