The manual says that to clear the RTC Ram, you should remove the jumper, then replace it.

My board shipped without the jumper at all.

Is this normal or do I need to install the jumper cap?

Thanks,
Leo

Despite what the manual says there is no such jumper on any ASUS-mainboard.
Easiest way to reset the BIOS is to take out the maninboard's battery itself for let's say 10 seconds. Unplug the power cord before doing that and wait until the standby-light on the mainboard stops shining.

Definitly do not place the pin on the jumper by the battery, you will brake your board. I have an Asus A7V266 and wondered the same thing when I saw that but I read in a forum that you definetly shouldnt place it back on. I agree with wanslos on just removing the battery.

It's not a jumper...it's a pair of solder pads.

The idea is to short out the two jumper pads, with something like a screwdriver.
