Friends got one, and crashes like crazy.. i haven't been there to do a reinstall (nuke drive) i dunno if he loaded via drivers yet but he say when copy files from zip to hd, it locks up

sound goes in/out when starting windows, like it's pausing and stuff..

i don't know if that's the mobo, but i just switched to my A7V133 from a KT7a-RAID and it's the best switch i've made. asus is awesome, their boards are just the most stable ones i've seen and easy to hook up. mine hasn't failed me yet, everything works as it should and hasn't ever crashed, nor any lockups. when i did have the cold boot problem i simply used the jumpers to manually set the cpu speed and when it booted, hit the bios to turn it down to a good OC speed and put it back into jumperless mode.

the promise controller handled my drives in RAID much more effectively, and it just feels rock solid.

friend did not have via install.. but who knows.. i told him nuke it.. but think he reinstall everything already.. too lazy to redo..
