The redesigned Sony PSone (smaller Playstation) has an AV-Input connector on the back. The packaging and instructions say that you can use a special cable for connecting external AV devices to the LCD screen. I got two of the official cables for free, but both ends of the cable are the same (which prevents connecting "normal" AV devices). It resembles a headphone connector with an extra bands for additional wires inside the cable, so it definitely is not a digital cable. The only item I could imagine this cable being compatible with is a Sony-brand camcorder. My Gamecube LCD came with an AV input cable which looks identical, except the other end has standard AV inputs. It does not work with the Sony LCD.
Sony has surely released products for adapting standard AV signals to this connector (?), has anyone ever had any success using AV input with a Sony PSone LCD screen?
