av-710/Envy24 question- No sound after wake up from stand-by, why?

I am running windows mediacenter2005 with 3000+winchester, msi neo4 platinum mobo. I have chaintech av-710 hooked up to my tv. when i put my computer to stand-by and then when i resume there is no sound until i mute and un-mute the pc. anybody know why? and how to fix it?
