If the DAC sucks on the card then it is no reason to even use the card to amp the phones.

The DAC doesn't suck per say....its just not that great in comparison. I replaced the Op amps in my card because I very occasionally use it to power my HD555's. Can't hurt in that situation to have better op amps.

Give me a comparison to how different the DACs are, please.
