AutoUpdating PDF files

Does anyone know of a way to update a PDF file automatically when the souce document it was created from changes?

example.. i have a word document that i convert to PDF.. a month later i make changes to the original word doc.
i need to somehow have the PDF also reflect those changes without re-making it by hand.

any thoughts would be appreciated

I have full Acrobat 5 . . . and there is no way I have found to do that. Writing a PDF file is in effect sending to a printer. If the source changes, you need a new print.

It does allow you to insert comments and things, but the original document remains.

I find it very quick and easy to print another PDF, same name, and replace the bad one.

The only update referred to in the Acrobat 5 index relates to updating the program.
