Big whoop, a $25k car beat a -$8000 car

Don't get me wrong, I love the Type R's, but you're definitly paying for the performance.

Would this be a 6 cylinder Mustang vs. a heavily modded Acura? How come there are no Cobras vs. modded Acuras..? :)

That POS sounds like a freakin' weedeater! I wonder if that ricey crap was running Squeeze? Ahh well, let's see that little scrap of wasted tin take the Mustang on in a pull contest!

I have a feeling there are for more mod'd Mustangs that can smoke these souped up asian lawnmowers. I guess this Integra happened to be outside the bell curve.

BTW, I dusted an Integra VTEC off the light the other day in my 99 Passat 2.8L V-6 (Audi motor with adjustable valve-timing, variable intake geometry, 5 valves per cylinder, hemispherical head arrangement, and 10.6:1 compression --stock!). When I finally backed off at around 60mph, I had him by at least two car lengths. I hate those annoying little fv&kers.

I'm with you nate!!!

ROFLMAO

How long was that?? Sure sounded like a 5.0, but.....

It has to change gears ya know!! The little Type R has a way shorter throw and is prolly going to be quicker to 60feet than any 'Stang, but, give us the Quarter mile...than we'll see!

Yo Rice....Go home

i saw aa acura integra fype r today, yellow with a big "type r" sticker behind the rear tires LOL! (fype = fake type). i may have seen another yesterday, i think it was white instead of the pearl color they are supposed to be, but those two are close. sticker was in front of the real wheels, i think thats right.

But Wait a minuet, I'M CONFUSED!!!

A 5 - litre Mustang costs $22,500 and so does the Type-R. So what is Genocide talking about?

A Type R does 0-60MPH in about 6.9 sec. A 5 L Mustang does it in 6.6 or something. So what is Tominator talking about? The Type-R could easily have been a stock car.

Do I smell something? Oh it must be a Type-R smoking a Mustang.

BAAAMM!!

Lest try it with a brand new Type-R versus a brand new Mustang GT. The mustang will whoop..

BTW I agree with whoever below asked why people are so damn angry at japanesse car owners. Damn! :)

5.0, they haven't put a 5.0 in a Mustang for a few years. It's the 4.6 now, I have one in my 1998 Ford F-150. I would say that a type R would beat a V-6 Mustang but not a GT. Also, again I will mention the cost difference. Lets compare dollar for dollar.

snut,
talking about unnecessary spoilers and stickers, I've seen a lot of pony cars like that too.

MissingLinc,
I think it's b/c of the driver, and not the car. Although I drive a Golf myself, I really doubt a Passat 2.8 can take on an Integra VTEC.
