In the March, 2007 issue of MaximumPC there is an article about the "Autopsy of the Commodore 64" or something like that. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any copies earlier this month, and April issues are out already. MaximumPC doesn't keep back issues either.

First, I want to know if anybody here has read the article. Secondly, was there anything detailed, or was there any length to it? Last, is it really worth the hassle I'd have to go through to get my hands on it?

I have several Commodore 64s and a 128. Tons of games for them. There's even an English one. A chip out of it was needed so that games (on tapes from there) could be played. I have several of those tapes too.

If the article is just a blurb then I'd really like to know that before spending some serious time to get this copy.

TIA

Sorry no help, but the c=64 was a great 8-bit system.

Only if you will pay to have it aligned when it arrives. :D

I have the copy. It's just a 1 page deal. They show a pic of a disassembled C64 and describe , (in very little detail) about some of the components. Nothing much.
