Everyone knows of the Oldsmobile Cutlass. The Cutlass had a sister car that was virtually identical to it.

What was it's name?

Edit: it too was made by Oldsmobile.

:D

No. That was an option on the Cutlass in the 80's.

This was basically the same car with a completely different name.

All GM divisions did this back then.

I am looking for the name of the Cutlass's twin.

Pontiac did this with the Tempest.

Buick did this with the Skylark.

Chevy did this with the Chevelle.

The hardcore car buffs on here would know this instantly. ;)

ok let me make sure i understand this...

was the twin a pre 1970's car
or
was this a twin to the pre 1970's cutlass?
or
this was a twin to the pre 1970's cutlass that was also made in the pre 1970's?

i just want to understand if they were out at the same time.. and both pre 1970's.. not that one replaced the other.

Alright, I will make this easier:

Here are the twins:

Buick Skylark / Special - same exact car different name.

Pontiac Tempest / T37 / Lemans - LOL 3 cars

Chevy Chevelle / Malibu

In a manner of speaking the Cutlass replaced the other as the other was phased out. I am not sure of the year, maybe 1969.
