I have some time now to get involved in something that I am really interested in. One possible option is to go to some kind of automotive school for one year and become a certified mechanic. However, the more I inquired, the more I realized how expensive it is and how I really cant afford it (basically 19,000 dollars for a 12 month program - includes everything).
one option was to take out a federal stafford loan, but i already have 17,000 in loans and i dont plan on taking any more (just graduating with a bachelors). i would really like to pursue this and i was wondering if any of you could offer advice/opinions/options on how to pay for this/another (cheaper) means to becoming a certified mechanic.
thanks for the help,
ronnie
