I know this question is a bit dumb, but this is for my homework assignment. I hope someone can help me.
How far a car can go in miles with fuel of 1 liter?

Depends on the car.

High-end Sports Cars get ~8mpg
SUV's & normal sports cars get more like 18mpg
"sedans" & other normal vehicles get 20-30mpg
economy cars get 30-45mpg
hybrid cars can get 80mpg or more

Take that number (gallons), and convert it to liters. You then will have miles/liter.

EDIT: Tank size, again, varies with the specific car. In small cars tank sizes are typically between 12 and 15 gallons.

It's generally enough to go 300-400 miles. In my car it's 10gallons.
