I'm trying to find the refrigerant capacity (lbs. of refrigerant) for the AC system in my '95 Dodge Caravan. It's not in the owners manual.

No snide remarks about my Caravan, either. It's a schweet ride!:D

while you're at it... how much does it cost to install (not fix) an AC into a car? the grilles and the dials exist, they just don't connect to anything.

mayhem: its a new kia spectra. i saw an ad in the paper today, where after all the discounts, a 2003 kia spectra comes out to be $7000. the catch is that it doesn't have an AC or any kinda radio / tape / cd. seemed like an interesting deal, was wondering how much the AC install would cost.

it is hard to say for sure. i don't work for kia, so i'm not at all familiar with them.
it will not be cheap. i quoted one for a jeep wrangler and it was about $2500(i think, has been a while)
,but that was a kit. if kia doesn't offer a kit it would probably be more. there would be a HUGE
amount of labor involved. my personal opinion is that you would be better off to take the same $$$
and buy a decent used car that has a/c,radio,etc.
