I am trying to find the best way to view several WebPages on our 42? LCD (already connected to a PC)installed in the coffe room for information purposes.

This is what I have in mind: the screen would be split in half. The left half would show some corporate monitoring and local sites. pages here are expected to refreash every 10 minutes

The right part would show some news, rss feeds, tech news, news sites, RSS feeds, google reader?etc. pages on this part are expected to refresh every 1/2 hour.

The two windows (or tabs) are expecte to scroll down the pages automatically before changing the sites

perhaps this can somehow be done with firefox plug-ins or with some software.

Here is something that solves a part of your problem.

First install Firefox and then install this addon,

<a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115">https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/115</a>

The addons name is 'ReloadEvery'. Once installed from the right-click context menu you will be able to reload the current tab every XX seconds or so.

Now what you need is 2 instances of Firefox. Not 2 tabs, but 2 separate windows.

Right-click on the windows taskbar and select 'Tile Windows Vertically'. That should get you 2 firefox sessions side by side in vertical view.

Now go to your 2 web-sites on the 2 windows. Right-click and using ReloadEvery just set how long you want to wait for a page to reload.

It should do the job for you.

Regarding your auto-scroll down, I can't find anything. But if it's some information located at the bottom you specifically want to see, the good news is that ReloadEvery seems to remember the scroll-bar position. So, you just see the section that you want to see.

Does it help?

but most of the sites i use need scrolling as they are a long. also what you are describing says nothing about how the browser windows is going to cycle though webpages. remember i have two lists of sites(local & internet)

also is there a way to automate this setup every time the PC starts. i dont want to look after this thing.
