i know i do....aol is long gone down the drain and people are still getting ripped by them....i cant believe how many people still use it their email and service......

any opinions??

I don't lose respect for them automatically, but depending on the cirumstances (for example, in technical discussions), they have less leeway to make false claims before I'll dismiss them entirely.

I'm more likely to lose respect for some with thier age at the end of thier email address/username. Or thier HS graduation date. Especially if it's in the future.
 
I lose all respect for businesses that have hotmail addresses, or resume's with hotmail addy's for that matter.
 
Nah. Everyone gets hoodwinked every now and then. I'll bet that you're getting ripped for some product or services that you use right now. In fact if AOL is the "only" company taking advantage a person then I'd give them a big thumbs up for being aware of the things they spend their money on. You may think you know alot, but chances are that every now and then you'll pay more money than something is worth simply because you don't know how much that thing is worth. For some people AOL= internet access and they don't want to go any farther than that.
 
If it's a business related issue and they're using aol then I'm pretty much going to consider them an amateur and if given the option take my business elsewhere.
