I like manual because where I live we get snow in the winter, and I like to go up the mountain and snowboard. I find that with a manual transmission I have more control in these situations. So I would pick a manual. Also manual is more fun to drive than automatic.
I like manual (20 years driving a stick in L.A. so plenty of experience with heavy traffic), it keeps driving from getting boring. If you like to drive, or at least like to get the most out of your driving, then stick is the only way.
Mazda 6's and 3's have the auto/manual tranny. You can put it in drive or shift over and drive like you were using a stick. the difference is that there is no clutch if you are in the manual mode.
I think if you really wanted to drive a stick you wouldnt need to ask... i say you drive a stick again and see how it feels... you wouldn't want to be regretting it later on. 🙂
