Automatic Level Control

Hi all,

Does anyone know of any Automatic Level Control (ALC) ICs that are ideal for low voltage operation?

I found an ALC chip from Maxim (link), but it requires a minimum of 4.5V. I need something in the 3V range.

Alternatively, I can just implement an analog switch setup that will attenuate the signal when it reaches a certain level, but I don't think this is the optimal way to do it.

Thanks!
