After a brief visit to an XXX site (by my brother) my IE homepage automatically resets to this site every time I Restart my computer. I have deleted my cookies. I have deleted everything out of my temporary internet files. I go into Internet options and reset the homepage to what I want it to be, but when I restart the computer, that XXX site is set as the homepage.

While viewing the page online, I looked at the properties and found this:

res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/offcancl.htm#http://www.**********.com

Is this what is causing this automatic switch at start-up?? How can I get rid of this?

Someone PLEASE HELP!!

Can you do all of us a favor and not cross post in more than one forum. I wouldn't have said anything, but you didn't mention not knowing what forum to post in, so I'm upset. I know I saw this thread before, and you reposted it again. For the future, I suggest just bumping your thread.

Sorry for the rant, but it was buggin'.

By the way, I know I gave you a suggestion, but I don't know if you tried it. I suggested you download Ad-Aware and scan your registry and hard drives. You didn't even reply, so I didn't know what to think.

C-ya...
