A month or so ago, my windshield cracked. Its a small L shaped crack in the bottom middle of the windshield, if that makes a difference. I am uncertain what cracked it, there's no sign of a rock impact. The only thing I can think of is heat stress, it was a cool morning and I left the defroster on from the morning prior.

Can anyone recommend a good institution that replaces auto glass in the west valley?

I live in Tempe and used desert breeze autoglass in Phoenix for an install on my car. It was a classic jeep so I provided the glass (found it on Craig's list for $50) and they were going to install it with a new gasket or whatever you call that rubber thing that holds on the windshield which wasn't cheap. They came out and started working, the install guy came over and told me that the gasket was fine and they'd just use the old one to save me some money. I think I paid $50 for the labor. It was pretty reasonable.

i dont know if they still exist, but Bishop glass was the place to go for auto glass.....back in the day.
