autocad layer colors

for all that use autocad, what colors are each of the layers suppose to be? (ie object, hidden, etc)

You set the color of each layer yourself there currently is no standard. Use a legend to identify each layer color.

Most people using AutoCAD assign a line weight to a color. For instance you would want your walls to have a heavier line weight than your text in an archtectural plan.

I kind of prefer to assign colours to layers in stead of caracteristics. Or to be more correct, assign colours to parts of a design.

I hate Autocad. But when I am forced to use it each color represents a different line weight. Usually I just convert Autocad files to Microstation.

Ya, you can use what you like (I too usually like to assign certain colors to layers). Out of curiosity, what are you trying to do?
