Simple question: I am talking about on a notebook if it matters, does autocad depend on cpu only if i only do line work and none of the 3d rendering stuff?

which pentium m is best bang for buck? (kinda like how the next thing after amd 3200+ has a huge increase in cost)

we use autocad, decently well at work with a 2.66ghz p4(some machines run 2.8ghz), 512mb ram, intel gfx. the p-m 1.73 or 1.8 is probably best bang for buck actually. 2.13 is very expensive.

intel's work the best with AUTOCAD in my opinion. Pentium 4's with hyperthread technologies are perfecto :)

I am thinking about getting a laptop to run autocad 2006 and I have no clue what kind of specs I should be looking at.
