That looks more like a second-gen CX-5 concept to me (especially in the rear), assuming the building behind it has a relatively normal 1st story height.

Or, given the plates, maybe something like a "CX-3" for the EU market?

Yeah I agree. I can't believe people are liking the looks of this as a Mazda3. It looks like a CUV to me. If that was the Mazda3 I would puke

Seeing as how they just introduced Skyactiv to the Mazda3 recently, I give them a couple more years before launching a redesign.

What I hope they do soon is update the Mazdaspeed3. It's engine was great back in 2007 but now it's looking dated compared to new offering, and I think it will especially so once the next gen WRX comes out. It's going to desperately need more power or more importantly fuel economy.

I believe an article I read a little while ago said the Mazda3 facelift was going to go along with their new plant in Mexico. I may be getting my info mixed up...but they have definitely announced that there will be a redesign. Don't know if they announced what year. I'm thinking 2014 MY.

i dont think they look anything alike. When i cover the front 3/4s of the two pictures, the nissan looks generic and almost the back of a minivan.

I'll bet the farm those Mazda3 is a from a concept. The silver on the nose will be flush and integrated like the CX5 and Mazda6

Looks better than the current gen. Doesn't look as good as my 2004 did. This model design + SkyActiv + soft leather will be the shits. I like their direction. Happy face can't die soon enough.
