I am trying to get to the PS fluid and just exchange some fluid out of the reservoir. The opening is very small and I went to 3 stores and none of them had turkey basters that would work. I checked Advance and they don't have anything.

I checked on amazon and there is no such thing as a Auto syringe

all I can find is Medical stuff, would a ear syringe work? I would just need to buy some ABS/Vinyl tube at home depot. But thats cheap enough.

Get a hand vacuum pump:

Very useful for bleeding brakes as well. About $30 at the parts store.

I go to a Vet to get them. It helps to specifically say you want one where a needle can't be attached (they give you funny looks, I guess IV druggies try to get syringes?).

That's a good suggestion, also the catheter tip ones are easiest to attach random sizes of tubes to. The 60cc size is the most useful for cars IMO.

The vet ones have a staggered tip and works very well with different hose sizes. I've used mine for years with brake fluid, all sorts of 'nasty' chemicals. I just disassemble the plunger and clean everything out, then lube with a bit of white lithium.

Although a decent mity vac is nice to have..

I believe there's a syringe specifically made for motorcycle forks that would work well for this application. Perhaps try a moto shop.

That motion pro crap is $$$$$$$ for what you get.

Measuring fork oil is why I initially got the Vet syringe..

It's measure by the distance from the top of the fork, so I simply marked the level on the hose, dropped it in, and sucked all the oil out to the specific level. That's even easier than trying to measure it with the motion pro syringe.

.......although technically you should be filling your forks via volume, not doing the measuring from the top trick.

I honestly have no idea what a motion pro that you refer to is, and I've never worked on a motorcycle fork. I know that when I was into mountain biking people were using a syringe (120cc perhaps) with a long steel tube ~1/16" in diameter to adjust fluid levels, usually by feel rather than a specific measurement. It seems like the syringes were less than $10 and pretty easy to find at moto shops or mail ordered from a moto catalog or website.

how about a cajun turkey injector? it's a big syringe with a long needle

The turkey injectors I've used all had staggered exits along the SS needle end so you wont get it all out and didn't hold that much.

Turkey baster from walmart plus some tubing works best or a mighty-vac.

how about just get a plastic bag and disconnect the hoses and empty it out that way...

its a little more messy but its free and you dont need anything.. its not like your going to do this a lot. 3 times tops in the next 10 years if you keep it that long.
