Auto switch between GMA and dedicated.

So these new intel chips have built in graphics, are there programs or built in functions that allow you to switch your graphics based on program? IE if I'm running anything on Steam it will switch to the dedicated card.

Its not good for gamers though. It cut my FPS in half even though it was using the dedicated card at the time.

If i remember correctly for it to work in the way you suggest, using the integrated when websurfing but dedicated when you fire up a game you must plug the monitor into the motherboards DVI/HDMI/whatever connector. It will somehow use the dedicated GPU through this when its needed but this routing seems to cost in performance, especially in games that arent officially supported by it.
