Auto shutoff engaging because of no activity

TV in question is a panasonic g10. I'm suspecting it is doing this because everything is switched at my denon avr? It controls my volume and my main sources are directTV and the htpc so once the tv is on it doesn't get touched anymore. Wouldn't a signal coming in over hdmi tell the tv that it's still being watched though?
 
When exactly is it turning off? While playing movies or just randomly or after a set period of time?

I know my st30 (and C2) both turn off after ~15 minutes even when my HTPC is still one but just not playing anything. Like if i leave it at the WMC screen itll turn off after the 15 minutes. If im playing a movie or whatever it doesnt do it though.
