Auto or manual assign IP ????

Not sure I'm phraseing this question the best way possible but I'll try.

Right now my netowrk is 2 desktops, one tivo, and a laptop. I also have two routers and a switch. Would there be any advantage to letting the router assign IP addressess or is it better to manually assign them?

One place to make any changes, if all of your devices are using DHCP you can change your IP scheme, name servers, etc on the DHCP server and when they go to renew their IP they'll get all of the new information without any intervention on your part.
