auto linker problem - figured out. Highlighted word issue.

Hey. Just noticed a message I posted the other day was #$^&!'d up. Sometimes I just paste the URL in the message, but the auto-linker comes along and screws it up by trying to create a HT link, but can't manage to do it right. I try to fix it by editing out the HT part, but the forum just adds it right back in, and messed up again too. 😛 What's up with that?


EDIT: BAH!, was doing it a minute ago. Don't know if it was just a forum hiccup or if it was actually just fixed in the few minutes before I posted this, but I can't reproduce it now. :disgust:
 
Okay, WTH is wrong with this forum??? I didn't touch my other post and now the links are @$^@'d up again!!!
 
Okay, I figured out the problem. When the highlight keyword function highlights part of a link, the link gets screwed up and no longer works. Remove the highlighting and there's no problem anymore. 😛 No wonder it seemed to come and go.

Edit: and on top of that, I see another thread from a couple of months ago on the same problem. It sure wasn't there earlier when I search for something to do with auto-linking. (maybe because it doesn't actually have to do with auto-linking... 😛 )
