What is the suggested coverage for auto insurance? My agent wants me to go 25,000/30,000/10,000 with uninsured motorist. The state min is 15,000/30,000/5,000 with no uninsured agent. Is there any advantage to carry more coverage?

Theres also a $300 difference between the two. This is for liablity only, since I don't crash. *knock on wood* ;)

carrying more covereage is for when you do crash so you don't have to pay out if the damages are above whats specified

Body work is EXPENSIVE. I don't care if you drive a Kia.

I carry $1,000,000 in liability insurance on all three of my vehicles. I would prefer not to lose my home, savings and investments of a lifetime because of an accident I was found to be at fault in. Anything can, and will, happen.

Oh, my yearly insurance for all 3 cars is about $1400. Only 2 of the cars have collision right now and I'm going to be dropping it on one of them.

Well I was in a motorcycle accident and so was my dad. My dad got about $17,000 for his bike and $200,000 for meds and the rest. I am not done with the docs yet so I don't know how high mine will be, not as bad as my dad.

So all I can say is don't pull out infront of a bike. As if all you have is 30K coverage, then that biker will own everything you own and then you will have to pay it off over time.

So now ask yourself, are you that good a driver?
