So everytime you get a free quote from an agent they pull your credit, does this mean I shouldn't go from site to site and get four or five quotes to compare because of all the pulls that will put on my report?

it is true they use credit, but it will not show up like a cc inquiry would. It will not hurt your credit either. Do not worry about it.
We use credit in our quoting as well (as do almost ALL major companies!)

So...is that that then? Definitive answer?

18 year old going on his own. I already got a quote from Geico awhile back. Who else do you recommend getting quotes from?

Did some searches, seems a lot of people liked esurance, State Farm, and Progressive. So it's safe to get quotes from all three on the same day as LolaWiz said?

afaik, all credit pulls within x days (maybe even a month) by different insurance companies count as just one credit pull.

About the same for esurance, however Progressive claimed State Farm's quote would only be around $74/month. However, when I tried to get a quote from State Farm myself, they wouldn't process it on their website because I haven't been licensed for three full years yet.
