Before I owned a home, I had bodily injury protection coverage (per person) of $25k/$50k. (max per person/max total people). I was told that after I own a home, it's wise to raise those limits since if anything happens and 25k/50k doesn't cover it, they can go after my assets. Is this true ? Apparently $100k/$300k is supposed to be appropriate now.

FWIW, It's $50 additional per 6 months.
