I need the brakes on my car looked at, they are grinding.

Would you use a chain brake place like Monro or a small auto repair shop?
I am new to my area and do not know what the local shops are like.

I have never used Monro, but figure they would be cheaper, but then you get an 18 year old kid working on your car

Anyone have any experience

Brakes are one of the few things a shade tree mechanic can repair on cars these days. Buy a new set of pads and rotors and throw them on yourself. Less than $100.00 and 90 minutes worth of work. Otherwise, you can get quotes over the phone. Tell them you want pads, rotors and calipers mounted on the front and ask what it would cost. Who ever gives you the lowest quote ought to do. Chances are, you won't need all those parts.
