Hello,
I am trying to configure Win2K Pro to dial the default dialup connection automatically when a program tries to access an internet address, at time when no prior connection has been established. Setting "Always dial my default connection" in Internet Option had worked with any software in Win98 and also WinXP, but in Win2K the same setting seems to work only for IE and Outlook. Whenever I try to use programs like FTP or Telnet (even Microsoft's), they immediately respond with message like "Unknown host". I always have to manually establish a net connection before using these software.
Is there way in 2K to do the same thing I was doing in 98 or XP?
Thanks in advance for the help.
