Auto-Connect Stopped Working

I recently moved my home office, where my laptop was directly wired into the router, (Netgear WND3700). Now the connection is wireless.
When I start the laptop from a full shut down it will connect quickly and automatically. But when I wake it from a sleep state, it requires me to manually hit the connect button every time, and it takes a full minute or longer to make the connection. Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted?
Running Windows 7.
Thank you.

Make sure that there is No 3rd party Utility running the Wireless card in tandem (or instead) with the Windows native configuration. If there is one, get rid of it and use only pure Drivers.

Then check the Wireless Power Setting configuration.

Maybe this can Help.
