Auto company bailout, live stream

I'll be pissed if the government decides to bail them out. WTF is wrong with just declaring bankruptcy and restructuring...

I like what the they are saying, Washington wants the conditions and then will give the money, but the auto makers want the money then want to wait till march 31 to see how it goes before conditions.

Wow, they are saying they could lose GM as a corporation before Dec 31.
I knew they were in rough shape, but not that bad.

bwahaha.

X:Chrysler has said they are asking for 8 bil of the TARP fuel efficency money already set aside, other guys how much do you want?

GM:3.5 here, 4 there, 8 total, but it has to be approved still.

Ford: 5 billion all toghether

X: So all together this plus the requests today come to 60 bil and this and that etc. I talked to the guy in charge of the TARP money the other day, he denied all your requests for TARP money, the letter is in the mail....

uggh

X: Oh you don't have that letter yet? I'll get you a copy.

my predictions haven't changed. Bailout I think will happen, but whether it does or not,

Ford will come out strong, bailout will speed up there rebound and move to new models.

GM will falter a bit but will survive and be around. Bailout will help a lot.

Chrysler is dead.

Too bad they were too stupid to request that money when gas prices were steadily moving up. Otherwise the only bailout they would need is to help them out of the mountains of cash to be made from making a consumer level alternative fuel vehicle.

Anyone know who the senator guy is that is talking now? He is cracking me up.

X: So Chrysler, your parent company has a shitload of money, but won't give you anymore, they just bought you for the loans you had and didn't care about the cars. You were going bankrupt anyway, and you're only here because you are lucky. We wouldn't be here for you, we are here for GM and ford. WTH should we give you money when your parent financial fund won't?

edit - First name is Bob

lol, just told them that you lucked out, you wouldn't be here if it were not for GM. Gm has the clout and you were going bankrupt and joined in. , sounds like a me too type thing .

They also pointed out that even BMW is worth more than all the companies put together and that the other auto companies don't have a daddy to go to when they need money , they have to get it themselves.

Yeah, that was good, wish I could watch more.

I'd love to buy me some ford right now, I've always been a 401k only person though, and money is tight.

I wish that they'd put up names of people speaking. I have it on in the background and paying attention 80% of the time. I'm addicted now.
