Does anyone know how to get rid of the auto check screen on bootup? I started getting it after a SCSI id problem. I rebuilt my RAID 5 array and I still keep getting an autocheck screen that runs check disk. It runs each time I start windows starts. The computer doesn't lock up or anything, it's just one of those annoying things you don't want to see. If more info is needed let me know. Thanks for any help.

It runs because you've got filesystem problems.

Let chkdsk finish running. If autochk still runs on boot, you've got a seriously damaged filesystem. Back up, drop the partition, recreate the partition, restore.

If data loss is more up your alley, though, you can rename autochk.exe on your hard drive. One thing is certain, though: if you do this, sooner or later, you will lose data.

Thanks for the info. I was hoping I didn't have to format. I did though, and it works.
