Hopefully this post is in the correct forum! I'm putting together a movie and will need to encode and output to a professional looking DVD (master) for duplication. Unfortunately I don't know much about video editing (including text overlays, audio/video sync, aspect ratios..), encoding computer videos and audio files, designing full functioning menus, and all that jazz. I pretty much have an idea, and the ability to record highly marketable material. What I need now is some know-how. 🙂 Any information, links to informational resources, software recommendations for recording, editing, encoding, burning and duplicating would be most appreciated. Thank you!

I'm also considering paying a professional in the field to help me through the rough spots, critique my editing and formatting, and be a "beta tester" of sorts. Please PM or email me for more information on the project.

Jesus you have a lot to learn.

Good results unfortunately take a lot of time and practice, it's not something you can pick up overnight.

To get a basic idea head over to www.doom9.org and www.dvdrhelp.com for some guides and forums, then it's a case of do a test, then tweak, then test, then tweak ad infinitum
