Actually, a reduction in their sheep population might get more people to have kids 😛

But seriously, the Aussies can feed themselves, as a nation. The places that are having a hard time keeping themselves fed generally have high birth rates.
 
This seems to be a problem in Europe also. They need mass immigration to keep things going. I see nothing wrong with Australia's move. I'd much rather have the people of my own nation reproducing than letting foriegners in. In the case of europe it seems to be a largely Muslim based immigration. I really would not want my laws based on the Muslim religion.
