Here we go again. Australian billionaire Clive Palmer want to build a full scale working replica of the RMS Titanic. The ship will be the exact same dimensions of the original. He states it will be "every bit as luxurious" as the original, so I'm guessing it will be a replica inside and out. Of course it won't be an exact copy. It will conform to modern safety standards and be equipped with the latest computer systems. Reports state that under the water line, it will be like any modern ship, with thrusters and a bulbous bow.
Construction is set to begin in China sometime next year. It is scheduled to make it's maiden voyage in 2016.

I'm willing to bet Titanic buffs will flock to it but I can't help but feel the general public will be less enthusiastic. Should have just named it the Olympic. Oh, and this isn't the first time someone has wanted to build a new Titanic. The last project by South African mogul Sarel Gous was scrapped due to high cost and low support. Titanic survivor Millvina Dean was against the project.
