That's a really well-done spot. It'd probably not pass the censors in the States.
Regular TV violence is ok, but violence depicting the aftermath of stupid decisions in real-life - that's crossing the line.

God I love this country.

Before starting my first semester at college they made all incoming freshmen do some bullshit Alcohol Edu thing online that was boring and took about 2 hours to complete. I believe merely exhibiting this video would be more effective in preventing kids from drinking and driving than that crap.

You should see the ones for anti teen drinking. Girls getting raped, kids getting hit by cars, they're brilliant.

These kind of ads are good. People forget how real and dangerous driving actually is.

Completely agree. That was a great tv spot, but it'd never show over here unfortunately. But if you want to show fake violence with no purpose, yeah, that's cool.

I saw a bunch of those in drivers ed in Canada...they were kind of shocking the first time you watch them, but like all tv violence you will eventually become desensitized

I'm not really desensitized to these kinds of ads. I always think about how effortless I turn my car wheel to navigate around objects on the road. It makes me think about a small mistake could rip my car and me into pieces.

The effortlessness it takes to drive our cars makes us forget how dangerous they are. It really is scary when you think about what you're doing in a car going 70mph down the highway.
