Aureal Vortex2 SQ2500 recommendations?

I'm thinking of buying this card...i found a brand new one but I know Aureal is out of business and driver support is no more...but i'm only going to be playing games with it using a 2.1 speaker system only. I heard that 3d positioning on a live! sucks...and this one is better when you only have two speakers. Recommendations?
 
From using both a SB Live! X-Gamer and an Aureal SuperQuad for about the same timespan, I would have to say A3D sounds better than EAX. Of course, the whole reason it would sound better is that A3D is far supeior in design and complexity than EAX.
