Aureal Vortex2 8830 driver for Windows 2000?

I have a slight problem. The Aureal Vortex driver that comes with Windows 2000, as you might know, doesn't actually work with the AU8830 (Vortex2) chipset based boards, and now that Aureal no longer exists there is nowhere to download the AU8830 driver for Win2k, since their website was the only place that had this driver. If anyone has or knows where I can get this driver, please let me know, I need it very badly since I currently have NO SOUND in Windows 2000.

Vortex of Sound does have updated drivers for Win2k, but they are only marginally better (still crappy) I would definetly give them a try though in your case, it may bring the sound back to life...
