** Aureal SQ1500 Rear Sound **

Received this card a while back. Hooked up my set of speakers to the FRONT output jack and it works fine. Tried to hookup some older speakers i have around to the rear jack, and have absolutely no sound in the REAR jack. any suggestions?? Thanks

Did you set the system to a Quad speaker setup? It should be somewhere in the Multimedia options - right click on the Volume Icon in the system tray, it's in there somewhere. Hopefully it's just something simple like that.

I'm almost positive that XP only supports the SQ1500 in stereo mode. If you want rear sound, get a new card or use Win9X.

You are limited to front speakers ONLY in XP.

Aureal went out of business before they finished their Win2k drivers. One does exist but its buggy as hell and will only install in Win2k. The driver in XP is based off of it.
