August 29th 1997

I was 16 then going on 17. It was a Friday. My bro invited his friend over for a sleep over and we rented Terminator 2. We popped in the VHS and as the credits rolled we all laughed our asses's off when we heard this.

We had pizza, I played the U2 War album and played Goldeneye on the N64. That was one awesome night!

As luck would have it, IFC has been playing Terminator.

I thought this was gonna be about Princess Diana. But then I looked it up and realized that was 2 days later.

Wow! I remember when that happened, but never realized it was two days after. I watched the funeral on CNN back then. My friend thought it was lame, "who cares" he said. Well, from a historical stand point it was important for me to watch. I love history anyway.

I remember renting The Terminator one time, having no idea what it was, but ended up absolutely loving it.

Then years later, in the previews of another movie, they had this short teaser for T2 - and I was in awe. T2 certainly lived up to the hype at least at the time. I still enjoy both movies immensely.

Terminator 2 is still one of the most impactful, futuristic movies I've ever seen... IMO, it's stood the test of time better than The Matrix series, which was just too heavily stylized towards contemporary tastes.

This teaser trailer was featured in the VHS for the movie Total Recall. If you haven't seen Total Recall I highly recommend it!

Blasphemy! HAHAHA I love, LOVE! The Matrix. All of them in fact. It's a beautiful mathematical symphony of Sci-Fi goodness. The Matrix is like a hybrid of The Terminator, except in The Terminator there is time travel.
