I'm not sure how many people here read slashdot.org but they posted this yesterday and I didn't see any other posts about it. It's called AuDSL. DSL useing standard sound cards with what seems to be an easily built, what they term hybrid, or filter. The software is open source and the hardware can be built from standard sound cards, modems and radio shack parts. Please post here if you can think of some good applications of this technology. Could this some how be coupled with some dialer software to make a higher speed modem that can break that 56k barrier with out pissing off the fcc? Any way heres the Linkage
