there isn't a video editing forum, and this is technically more hardware than software, but not pc hardware... so off-topic it is..

I need some things:

mics (a lapel mic, and a 'boom' mic)
camera (NICE webcam might work?)
is the iSight any good? (this is for a pc though)
audio I was going to use sound forge
video I am using premiere and some camtasia.

I am making training videos.. basically teaching people how to use a software package that interfaces with hardware. It's going to involve some recording of the pc screen (camtasia) and actual recording of someone setting up/install the hardware (cam/webcam + premiere to splice it all together) I'd also need something to setup dvd's/dvd menus

Are you planning to sell this? If so, I would recommend at least a MiniDV camera of some sort. What's your budget?

SoundForge is fine, Premiere is fine, although I personally prefer Adobe Audition and Vegas Video.

it's for work. We already have premiere, will be buying soundforge (or audition if it's better...)

budget is... well.. I should probably keep it under $5-6k for mics and everything
