I saw these going for $225+ on egay, but this place has them for $179 plus shipping
PDA phone
I ordered one, about $10 shipping for me

this is the cheapest PDA phone for verizon that i have seen, the next model up is the samsung i700, which doesn't seem to have many more features than this one and gos for like $600 !!

Warning, I am going to thread crap, just because I love my fellow AT'ers. (Tough Love)

Stay away this is very very cold. I hang out at Howardsforum now and then. They think this phone it a POS and they know phones over there.

Verizon was selling that phone for 100 with contract 6 weeks ago. From what I have read it's a pos. It was on tech tv and they said it was crap. TechTV
I would cancel my order if I were you. You can't hold it up to your ear to make a call. You can only make a call on speaker. I came across a thread where a guy had to charge it twice a day because he could only get 8 hours of standby time. This ppc is over 2 years old, that a long time for that market. I just think that someone could be better.

The tech TV article has this as $800 ....for $179, i don't expect the best.....like i said, the next one up is like $600 !!
Thanks for the advice though, it's good to have people here versed in this stuff.
I figure, if i don't like it, i'll unload it on eb*y for at least what i paid for it, if not more.

If you REALLY want this phone, and REALLY want to save an extra $20, then head over to Computer Geeks, where you can pick it up for $159.95 - link

Also keep in mind that this is NOT A POCKET PC PHONE. This is a pocket pc with a GPRS/GSM card permanently installed and custom software to run the phone app. The battery life is horrible and the phone is porly rated. Check out www.pdaphonehome.com for more information.

wow....got it today!
haven't had much time to get it set up, but looks like a nice unit for less than $200!!
fast shipping too!

gonna have to agree that this is NOT GOOD. i own this pocket pc, a rebranded toshiba and was going to upgrade to something, anything else that has better battery life.

in my mind, i can handle a pda w mediocre bat life, but if this was a phone too, well it ought to have at least, say, ten minutes of talk time.

i've looked for a pda phone, but so far haven't found one at any price that's worth it.

any suggestions for a color screen pda with a great battery life? i was hoping for a palm, but may have to settle for a pocket pc.

I guess the question is - what would you consider good battery time?
this is my first PDA, so i have nothing to compare it to.

The XDA and the Palm Tungsten W both have excellent battrey life.

The Samsung i600 and i500 both have great battery life.

The kyocera 7135 is in a battery recal - not so great.
