audiotrak with creative speakers?

I just installed an audiotrak 7.1. By all appearances it's installed correctly. However, I don't really know since I dont get sound out of my creative speakers. The speakers worked fine with the integrated sound on my motherboard. With these speakers there are three jacks from the motherboard, going into the sub, wich then has each of the five satellites connected to it. With the prodigy it appears as if each speaker should be individualy connected to the soundcard. I've got three, it looks like the soundcard wants five. Any known issues with this? Thanks
