About the Game

Ride your music. Audiosurf is a music-adapting puzzle racer where you use your own music to create your own experience. The shape, the speed, and the mood of each ride is determined by the song you choose. You earn points for clustering together blocks of the same color on the highway, and compete with others on the internet for the high score on your favorite songs. Audiosurf on Steam includes The Orange Box soundtrack, integrated with the game to enable "Still Alive" surfing and more. In addition, Audiosurf is one of the first titles to leverage the recently announced Steamworks, offering full support for the Steam Achievements that appear on Steam Community profile pages.

* Play with any music from your own collection--the game supports MP3s, iTunes M4As,
WMAs, CDs and OGGs
* Valve's The Orange Box Original Soundtrack is included.
* Online scoreboards for each song you play.
* Choose your strategy from 14 available characters.
* Track your progress as Steam Achievements.

Found it on Hard Forum that got it from SlickDeals and thought others may be interested in picking up one real addicting game from Steam.

It's a really interesting concept, but not that cool of a game. I bought it for $10 when it first came out.

The best use it's for is for when you want to concentrate on listening to music tracks but want something to do as well, if that makes any sense at all. It's not that entertaining as a game itself, but it's nice to have a game to play while listening to music.

It's a glorified interactive music visualizer but yeah, it's awesome for listening to music in a more focused manner.

Eh, if I'm focusing on music that much I'm usually picking out lyrics too, and having a game going on would ruin that. It's a cool little casual time waster and MAYBE worth that money, but it does get old pretty damn quick.

I bought audiosurf when it was $10. It's really awesome, unless you listen to crappy music.

Personally, I prefer ~10 minute techno songs at the hardest level.
