Connect these Speakers from an old 3 piece boom box to my Computer's rear speaker out?

I have:
speaker wire
analog phono plugs
wire cutters

Anything I'm missing? Can it be done? Any help is well appreciated :)

they don't look like quality speakers. Buy some new ones as an amp will probably cost more.

whats the wattage rating of those speakers?
Rated Power = 50w
Max power Handling Capacity = 100W
Impedance = 6ohms

Why do want twomore speakers on a 2.1 setup?
Do you really have to ask? :p I just want to put good use to them. My sister gave it to me because she is only using the "middle part" for herself.

It's a SHARP CP-HP500 model seems pretty reasonable to me. Has a 5' woofer and a 2" tweeter. Looks in good shape.. considering my sister got it last week.

Hmm... would this be Suffice? I live about 45 minutes (by train) away from the store. Is $150 a good deal and can it be hooked up to my computer?

(or I can get a Logitech z640 Speakers + 6.1 sound card for about the same price) and have the speakers left over... :(

like I said the amp will cost you more unless you can find one second hand. z640 will probably give you better sound too.

Yeah either find a really cheap, cruddy amp or buy new powered speakers, because those aren't worth spending money on.

Never heard of no five-foot woofer... That would be an infrawoofer...
